At MH Great Danes, we understand that our families come from all over the country. While we always love meeting our puppy parents in person, we offer several safe and reliable transportation options to ensure your “Gentle Giant” arrives home happy, healthy, and ready for cuddles.

🚗 Option 1: Local Pickup

You are always welcome to visit our home to pick up your puppy! This is a great way for us to meet you, answer any last-minute questions, and for you to see where your puppy began their journey.

🚛 Option 2: Professional Ground Transport

For those who prefer their puppy stays “paws on the ground,” we work with trusted, USDA-licensed pet transporters. This is often the preferred method for Great Danes as they grow so quickly!

  • Door-to-Door Service: The puppy is picked up from our home and delivered directly to your front door.

  • Personalized Care: Transporters provide regular potty breaks, fresh water, and photo updates throughout the trip.

  • Safety First: Puppies travel in climate-controlled vehicles with plenty of space to stretch out.

✈️ Option 3: Flight Nanny (In-Cabin)

If your puppy is still small enough to fit under an airline seat (typically before 10-12 weeks), we can arrange for a Flight Nanny.

  • Constant Supervision: A professional nanny hand-carries your puppy through the airport and keeps them in the cabin during the flight.

  • Direct Hand-off: You meet the nanny at your nearest major airport for the hand-off.

  • Note: Due to the rapid growth of Great Danes, this window is very short!

📦 Option 4: Air Cargo (PetSafe Programs)

For long-distance travel where ground transport isn’t feasible, we use specialized “PetSafe” airline programs.

  • Pressurized & Climate-Controlled: Puppies travel in a specific area of the plane designed for live animals.

  • Summer/Winter Restrictions: For the safety of the breed, we do not ship via cargo if temperatures are extreme (above 85°F or below 45°F).

No matter which method you choose, your puppy’s safety is our #1 priority. Every traveling puppy receives:

  • A Health Certificate issued by our vet within 10 days of travel.

  • A Travel Kit including a small bag of their current food, a comfort blanket with the scent of their littermates, and all necessary paperwork.

  • Coordination & Updates: We handle the logistics and keep you updated every step of the way until the puppy is in your arms.
